Roadless Rule Reinstated on Alaska’s Tongass National Forest
, March 8, 2011 (ENS) – A federal judge in Anchorage Friday reinstated roadless rule protections for Alaska’s Tongass National Forest that had been blocked since 2003. The country’s largest national forest, the Tongass in southeast Alaska covers 16.8 million acres.
