Question by karo: is there a ferry directly from washington to alaska?
my fiance and me are looking to move to either anchorage or juneau. and we are looking to drive out there and get on the ferry but i cant seem to find one.

Yes, the Alaska State Ferry system departs from Bellingham, WA: http://www.dot.state.ak.us/amhs/maps/community_map.html

That would be the Alaska Marine Highway. It leaves from Bellingham and gets to Juneau about 2 1/2 days later. Some trips continue on to Whittier, which is close to Anchorage, another day and a half.
