ok im tryin to go from anchorage alaska, to seattle washington by boat. not a cruz ship im not tryin to go site seeing. im trying to transport a car from alaska to the lower 48 without goin through canada. so if you can find website of prices for two peaple and one car please provide

I can’t seem to find a ferry route that can get me there. Oh, and it doesn’t matter which city I leave WA from, or if I have to make port along the way and switch ferries. Also I’d need to know which ferry venue to use. Thanks(:

The ferry leaves from Bellingham. The closest to Seward that I could see you could get to on the ferry was Homer which was a 4 hour drive away.

According to http://www.ferrytravel.com/home.htm the cost can go anywhere from 500-1500 USD depending on Cabin. The cheapest way is to fly this route.

I haven’t heard of a ferry going out of Anchorage….the only one I know of is in Haines Junction……

We went to the Grocery store early so we could have snacks and drinks being unsure of what the boat had to offer, but we found out it has good food service at reasonable prices, two restaurants and a snack bar. Matter of fact it is a quite nice trip we have a person from the Tongrass National Forest giving lectures twice daily about the inside passage and surrounding area. The ferry system here in Alaska is part of the Alaska highway system, it is part of public transportation. I was told that some children use the ferry for their school bus, a lot of villages can only be accessed by these ferries. A store employee in Haines told that all their supplies come from Bellingham weekly their bread has to be flash frozen in order for it not be stale by the time it is put on the shelf a week later. Matter of fact the Inside Passage runs down through the Tongrass National Forest it is a experience in itself. A novelistic view of the interior of an Alaskan Ferry while stopping at Haines. Especially 2 huge murals of bears and moose. Original “Torso Sculpture” a musical composition by me and also I mean, it’s just a riff on the harp with some changes, but I’m still recovering from a broken left hand two years ago, set by Rob, the nurse in the Skagway clinic so I’m still a bit slow with the guitar hand. I couldn’t afford to fly to Juneau for a couple of pins. It’s a Blues Band made in China I picked up here in Ketchekan (Little Ketchie). The fourth finger’s a couple of mil shorter now so sometimes it’s a reach. I’ll have to get used to it or start playing the frets with the right hand.
